What does the entry date on my e-Visa mean?
When you applied you entered an arrival date. The e-Visa PDF shows it as the start of the validity period, for example "valid from 20 June to 19 July". The visa is valid from that start date, not from the day it was issued, and it ends on the valid-to date. Your trip needs to fall inside that window.

Can I still travel?
If your landing date falls inside the validity period and everything else matches your passport, the dates are not your problem. If it falls outside, the e-Visa does not cover that arrival, so fix it before you fly. Airlines check entry documents at check-in, and rules vary by airline and route, so we cannot promise what a particular airline or officer will accept. The safe move is to remove the doubt.
Why do entry date mistakes happen?
- The departure date was used instead of the date you land in Vietnam.
- Day and month were swapped on the form (for example 05/06 read as 6 May).
- The flight changed after the visa was issued.
- A time-zone effect: a flight that leaves on one date lands on another.
- An early guess: the date was entered before the booking was final.
What should I do first?
- Open the e-Visa PDF and note valid-from and valid-to.
- Write down the date you land in Vietnam, in Vietnam time.
- Compare the two, then check name, passport number, date of birth and nationality.
- Message us the same day. Every lost working day narrows your options.
What if my flight is tomorrow?
- Compare now, not at the airport.

- Work out your deadline: check-in usually closes 45 to 60 minutes before departure.

How do I work out the right Vietnam date?
Use the date you land, in Vietnam time (GMT+7), not the date you depart. Two examples with approximate flight times:
