Vietnam Urgent Visa Weekend Service: Sat, Sun & Holidays

Updated: October 13, 2026 By Visa Specialist

The government e-Visa portal does not process applications on Saturdays, Sundays or Vietnamese public holidays. If your flight cannot wait until Monday, there is a weekend and holiday service. This guide explains how it works, the cutoff in your time zone, and what it costs.

In short

The weekend and holiday service issues a Vietnam e-Visa on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays for $230 (single entry, government fee included; multiple entry $255). Speeding up an application you already submitted costs $210. Pay by 15:00 Vietnam time to receive the e-Visa by 18:00 the same day. Capacity is limited and approval is decided by Vietnam Immigration, so it cannot be guaranteed.

What the e-Visa is for. Under our service terms, the e-Visa covers tourism. Work, teaching, volunteering, conferences and religious activities are not covered. If your trip involves any of these, message us before applying.

Can I really get a Vietnam e-Visa on a weekend?

Yes, through a dedicated weekend and holiday service. The portal itself is closed on weekends and public holidays, so a normal or day-based application would wait until the next working day. The weekend service handles these orders by hand, which is why daily capacity is limited and why it costs more than a weekday package.

Which weekend services are available?

Service When to use it Weekend / holiday fee
New application You have not applied yet $230
Speed up an existing application You applied on evisa.gov.vn and it is pending $210
Error correction Wrong name, passport number, date of birth or a poor photo on an issued or pending file $85 weekday; ask for weekend

Prices are single entry in US dollars and include the government fee for new applications. Multiple entry adds $25.

What is the weekend timeline?

You pay You receive the e-Visa
By 15:00 Vietnam time (GMT+7) By 18:00 Vietnam time, the same day
After 15:00 Vietnam time In the next release. Message us to confirm the time.

The cutoff is on Vietnam time, which is why a Friday evening in the US or Europe can already be Saturday there.

What is the cutoff in my time zone?

Place Pay by (15:00 Vietnam) Visa by (18:00 Vietnam)
New York / Toronto (EDT) 04:00 07:00
Los Angeles / Vancouver (PDT) 01:00 04:00
London (BST) 09:00 12:00
Sydney / Melbourne (AEDT) 19:00 22:00
Delhi (IST) 13:30 16:30

Daylight saving shifts these times: UK clocks go back on 25 October and US clocks on 1 November, so both cutoffs then read one hour earlier on your clock (for example 03:00 EST instead of 04:00 EDT). Check your own time zone with us before you rely on the cutoff.

Who should use the weekend service?

  • Weekend flyers who find out on Friday that the e-Visa is missing
  • Travelers on a public holiday, when the portal is closed for several days
  • Travelers with a pending application that will not finish before the flight
  • People who spot an error in their name, passport number or photo

Not in a hurry? If your travel date is flexible, normal processing is cheaper ($50). Contact us as early as possible, ideally 48 hours before your flight, because weekend capacity is limited.

What do I need to send?

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date
  • A clear scan of the passport photo page, with no glare
  • A portrait photo in natural light on a plain light background
  • Arrival date and entry point, using the Vietnam date
  • One e-Visa per traveler, including children

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a Vietnam e-Visa on a Saturday or Sunday?
Yes, through the weekend and holiday service. The government portal does not process on weekends, so these orders are handled through us, with limited daily capacity. Approval is decided by Vietnam Immigration and cannot be guaranteed.
What is the cutoff for the weekend service?
Pay by 15:00 Vietnam time (GMT+7) to receive the e-Visa by 18:00 the same day. Orders after the cutoff move to the next release, so message us right away to confirm the time.
How much is the weekend and holiday service?
$230 for a new application, single entry, government fee included; multiple entry adds $25 ($255). Speeding up an application you already submitted is $210 on weekends and holidays.
I already applied and it is still pending. Should I apply again?
No. A second application does not make the first faster and can mean paying the government fee twice. Send us your application code and we speed up the existing file.
My e-Visa has an error. Can it be fixed on a weekend?
Message us on WhatsApp with the PDF and your passport page. Correction is $85 on weekdays; confirm the weekend correction fee with us before you pay.
Does the weekend service cover public holidays?
Yes, including Tet (Lunar New Year), National Day on 2 September and New Year's Day. Holiday dates change each year, so message us your dates to confirm.
Is the weekend service available for every nationality?
The e-Visa is available to citizens of many countries, but entry rules differ by nationality. Check the current list on evisa.gov.vn, and message us your passport nationality before ordering.
Is the weekend e-Visa different from a weekday one?
No. It is the same e-Visa issued by Vietnam Immigration. Only the speed and the service fee change.
Will an airline let me board with a pending application?
Airlines check entry documents at check-in and rules vary by airline and route. A pending application is not a visa, so plan to hold the approved e-Visa on your phone before you reach the desk.
What if the deadline is missed?
If we accept your case, confirm a deadline and fail to deliver on time, you are refunded for our service. The government fee is not refundable once the application has been submitted to Vietnam Immigration, and we cannot refund airline tickets.
Does the e-Visa cover business trips?
Under our service terms, the e-Visa covers tourism. Work, teaching, volunteering, conferences and religious activities are not covered. If your trip involves any of these, message us before applying.
