When time is short and your trip to Vietnam is around the corner, waiting several days for visa approval isn’t an option. Fortunately, Australians traveling to Vietnam in 2025 can request urgent visa processing — and even receive a visa in just 1 hour. This guide explains when you need an urgent Vietnam visa, how to apply, and the updated fees.
When Do Australians Need an Urgent Vietnam Visa?
Most travelers from Australia apply for a standard Vietnam e-visa, which takes 3–5 business days to process. However, urgent service is essential when:
-
Last-minute business meetings require immediate travel.
-
Flight departs in less than 24 hours and you forgot to apply for a visa.
-
Visa application delays put your travel plans at risk.
-
Transit changes force an unexpected entry into Vietnam.
With urgent processing, Australians avoid flight cancellations, extra hotel costs, and missed opportunities.
Urgent Visa Processing Times & Fees (2025 Updated)
Vietnam now offers three tiers of urgent e-visa service for Australians:
-
1-Hour Urgent Visa – USD 195
-
2-Hour Urgent Visa – USD 165
-
5-Hour Urgent Visa – USD 135
These prices include both government processing fees and service fees — no hidden charges. Standard e-visas (3–5 business days) remain much cheaper at USD 50.
