The official timeline is 3–5 working days — and "working days" excludes Saturdays, Sundays, and Vietnamese public holidays. For US travelers, the time zone gap (Vietnam is GMT+7) adds confusion too: an application submitted Friday night in California is already Saturday morning in Vietnam. This is why many Americans think 5 days have passed when immigration has only counted 2–3 working days.

Middle name confusion
US passports often include middle names. Incorrect order (should be SURNAME – Given name) can slow review.
