How Long Does It Take to Get a Vietnam E-Visa? (2025 Update)

Travelers to Vietnam are increasingly choosing the convenient e-visa system. But how long does it take to receive your Vietnam e-visa in 2025? The answer depends on whether you choose standard processing or urgent/express services. This guide will give you a clear, updated overview of all options available, along with pricing and tips to avoid last-minute stress.

1. Standard Vietnam E-Visa Processing Time

A Vietnam e-visa is typically processed by the Vietnam Immigration Department within 3 to 5 working days under normal circumstances. However, actual approval times may vary depending on:

The time of year (peak seasons can cause delays)
The accuracy and completeness of your application
National holidays when immigration offices are closed

Key point: If you are traveling during Lunar New Year (Tet) or other Vietnamese public holidays, expect slower processing. Always apply at least 7–10 days before departure to be safe.

2. Urgent Vietnam E-Visa Services (1 Hour to 3 Days)

If your departure is soon — or even in just a few hours — you don’t have to cancel your trip. vietnamvisaeasy.net offers urgent processing services that can deliver your e-visa much faster than the standard timeline.

Available Express Options (2025 rates)

1-Hour Processing – $195 USD
2-Hour Processing – $165 USD
5-Hour Processing – $135 USD
1-Day Urgent Visa – $100 USD
2-Day Urgent Visa – $85 USD
3-Day Urgent Visa – $80 USD

These options are ideal for:

Last-minute business trips
Forgotten applications discovered at check-in
Emergency family visits or unexpected travel

3. What If You Need to Board in 20–30 Minutes?

Sometimes travelers realize at the airport check-in counter that they do not have a valid visa. In such extreme cases, a Letter of Guarantee (LOI) can be issued within minutes to help you board the flight while your e-visa is processed urgently after landing.

Important:

This letter is ONLY for boarding purposes.
It is NOT a replacement for a Vietnam e-visa.
If you attempt to use only the LOI to enter Vietnam, you risk fines or denied entry.

Our team will assist you to:

Issue the LOI within minutes so you can board.
Process your urgent e-visa (1-hour or 2-hour service) so it’s ready for arrival.

4. How to Apply Online Quickly

Applying for a Vietnam e-visa is simple if you prepare the following:

Valid passport scan (at least 6 months validity)
Recent passport photo (4x6 cm)
Intended travel dates and port of entry
Credit card or PayPal for secure payment

Steps to apply:

Go to https://vietnamvisaeasy.net
Select urgent processing option (1 hour, 2 hours, 5 hours, or more)
Upload your passport and photo
Make payment securely online
Receive your e-visa or LOI by email according to your chosen service

6. Final Tips to Avoid Stress

Apply early whenever possible. Even though urgent services are available, they are best used for emergencies, not as your primary plan.
Double-check your passport information to avoid rejection.
Keep your e-visa printed and digital copies handy. Airlines and immigration officers will both need to verify it.
Use LOI only for boarding, not for entry. Always follow up with a proper e-visa before landing.

Conclusion

In 2025, you can receive a Vietnam e-visa in as little as 1 hour if needed. While standard processing still takes 3–5 working days, urgent options from 1 hour to 3 days give travelers complete flexibility. Whether you’re planning ahead or facing a last-minute emergency, vietnamvisaeasy.net can deliver fast, reliable solutions to keep your trip on schedule.
