Flight in a few days, or a few hours, and no Vietnam visa yet? This guide covers what is realistically possible, what each speed costs, and the exact steps to apply without making a mistake under time pressure.
An emergency Vietnam visa is a standard e-Visa reviewed on a priority timeline. Options run from 30–60 minutes ($215) to 4 days ($65), with a weekend and holiday service at $230. Prices are all-in for single entry and include the government fee. Speed depends on a complete, accurate application, and approval is decided by Vietnam Immigration, so no provider can promise it.
Who needs an emergency visa
Most travelers who end up here did not plan to be late. The usual situations are a trip booked at short notice, a visa application that has been "processing" for longer than expected, a flight that departs before the standard 4–6 working days are up, and a departure that falls on a weekend or public holiday when the government system is closed.
Emergency visa prices
These prices apply to a single-entry e-Visa and include the government fee. Multiple entry adds $25.
| Package | Delivery time | Single entry | Multiple entry |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 4–6 working days | $50 | $75 |
| Urgent 4 days | 4 days | $65 | $90 |
| Urgent 3 days | 3 days | $90 | $115 |
| Urgent 2 days | 2 days | $100 | $125 |
| Urgent 1 day | 1 day | $110 | $135 |
| Urgent 5 hours | 5 hours | $125 | $150 |
| Urgent 2.5 hours | 2.5 hours | $155 | $180 |
| Urgent 1.5 hours | 1.5 hours | $185 | $210 |
| Urgent 30–60 min | 30–60 minutes | $215 | $240 |
| Weekend / holiday | Same day, by 18:00 VN | $230 | $255 |
Timelines apply within Vietnam working hours unless you choose the weekend and holiday service. The government fee is $25 single / $50 multiple and is non-refundable once submitted.
Which speed should you choose?
- Flying within hours: 30–60 minutes ($215), 1.5 hours ($185) or 2.5 hours ($155), ordered during Vietnam working hours.
- Flying tomorrow: 5 hours ($125) or 1 day ($110).
- Flying in 2–4 days: 2 days ($100), 3 days ($90) or 4 days ($65).
- Flying on a weekend or holiday: the $230 weekend and holiday service.
Leave a buffer. Choose a package that finishes at least a few hours before you need to leave for the airport, because a photo problem or a name mismatch costs time whatever package you pick.
Vietnam's working hours matter
The government system works Monday to Friday, 8:00–11:30 and 13:30–18:00 Vietnam time (GMT+7). A priority application is reviewed inside those hours, which is why the time you submit counts. For weekends and public holidays, the dedicated service delivers the visa the same day: submit and pay by 15:00 Vietnam time to receive it by 18:00. Weekend orders must be placed with us, because the government portal has no weekend or urgent service.
How to apply, step by step
Travelling with children? Each child needs a separate e-Visa, even if they are on a parent's passport. Applications that combine a child with a parent can be rejected. For families and groups, message us on WhatsApp.
Mistakes that cost you the flight
Applying twiceA second application on the government site or elsewhere creates confusion. If you have already applied, ask for a speed-up instead.
Name differencesWrite your name exactly as in your passport, including middle names.
A blurry or dark photoThe file is returned for correction and the clock stops.
Ordering outside working hoursPriority review happens inside Vietnam working hours. Late evening in your time zone can mean waiting for the next window.
Assuming airlines accept a receiptBoarding rules vary by airline. Fly on the approved e-Visa, not on proof that an application exists.
